Although cosmetic surgery is very popular, it can also pose serious risks to patients. Often, the risks are not fully disclosed to patients, which can put a great deal of stress on their minds. Because the procedure is inherently risky, there are always inherent risks. Some of these risks are higher than others, however.
Vicarious experience
Vicarious Trauma can be caused by someone experiencing traumatic events through the eyes of a friend. Professional help can be provided to treat the experience. Friends and family can also be able to share their experiences and concerns. Although it can be difficult to talk about the experience with loved ones, people should not take their reactions personally. They should carry on with their day and be in touch with their family and friends.
Self-rated attractiveness
A recent study looked at the relationships between self-rated psychological well-being and physical attractiveness among adolescents. Participants were asked about their self-reported levels and physical attractiveness. The results showed that male adolescents thought they were more attractive to themselves than their female counterparts. However, girls were more likely to experience internalized distress if their self-rated attractiveness was negative. These associations had statistical significance only for girls and were only related to self-harm behavior and suicidal ideastion.
Religiousness
New research has shown that religion can have an impact on people's decision whether or not they want to consider cosmetic surgery. In particular, those who are more religious were less likely be to undergo cosmetic surgery than those of other faiths. But, further research is required to determine the relationship between cosmetic surgery and religiousness.
Income from the Household
The study found that there is a correlation between household incomes and the risk of cosmetic surgery. The study found that people with higher incomes were more likely to have the procedure than those who had lower incomes. To evaluate SES, researchers used the Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics measure of gross family income. It is a well-known method of assessing SES. The results have shown that it can be used to assess health disparities within different socioeconomic classes.
Liquid silicone facial injections

Infections

But, there have been reports of infections by non-tuberculous mecobacteria. These infections are often difficult to detect using standard Gram staining. They can also be resistant to common antibacterial drugs.
